An American Military Hero


Schenk, Harry J., Jr. 90 of Beesley's Point, NJ passed away on Friday, April 1, 2016 at his home. Born in Audubon, NJ, he was formerly of Longport, NJ moving to Beesley's Point, NJ two years ago. He was a Veteran of World War II, serving with the United States Army before receiving his honorable discharge in 1945. Mr. Schenk worked as a Draftsman for Hirsch Arkin in Huntingdon Valley, PA for 25 years before his retirement. He loved spending time with his family. Surviving are his wife, Mary Joan Schenk (nee Bee) of Beesley's Point, NJ, six children, John P., of Philadelphia, PA, Harry P., of Philadelphia, PA, Daniel J. (Lois) of Wilmington, NC, Kathleen M. Mills (Robert) of Beesley's Point, NJ, Victoria J. Newbold (Mark) of Chalfont, PA, Alexandra DeCamillo (Stephen) of Morrisville, PA, ten grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. A Memorial Mass will be offered Saturday morning at 10 o'clock from the Church of the Resurrection of St. Maximilian Kolbe Parish, 200 West Tuckahoe Road, Marmora, NJ where friends may call from 9:30 am until the time of mass.
