Joy Powers Hiles, age 65, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, after battling cancer. A 1966 graduate of Woodstown High School and a long time Woodstown resident, Joy was predeceased by her parents, Harry and Jean (Hudson) Powers, and her husband, Harold "Skeeter" Hiles. She is survived by her brothers, Marvin and Larry Powers; her son & daughter-in-law, Joe Hiles & Julie Haines Hiles of Woodstown; her granddaughter, Savannah; her surrogate daughters, Joanne and Patty; and Patty's three sons, Jim, Dean, and Cody Marich. Joy was a long time caregiver to the sick and elderly. She attended Penton Chapel and the First Baptist Church of Woodstown. She was active with the Jaycees and the Ladies Auxiliary of Reliance Fire Company during their times of service. She enjoyed camping, sales, and spending time with "The Witches". This loving and dedicated mother and friend will be memorialized at 1PM on Friday, March 7th in the First Baptist Church of Woodstown, 117 S. Main St., Woodstown, where friends are invited to visit from 11 AM until the time of service.
