Judith Ann (Judy) Daily, 73, of rural Windsor died Monday evening, May 2, 2016, in her residence.
Funeral services will be 10 a.m. on Saturday, May 7, in the Smyser Christian Church, rural Gays, with the Rev. Richard Coen of Neoga and the Rev. Dan Fultz of Sullivan officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, May 6, in the Smyser Christian Church in rural Gays and for one hour before the services on Saturday. Burial will be in the Smyser Cemetery in rural Gays. The Swengel-O'Dell Funeral Home of Neoga is in charge of arrangements.
Judy was born June 1, 1942, in Chester, the daughter of William and Reba (Sanders) Kerr. She married Kenneth Daily, May 30, 1965, in Ellery. Judy was a former teacher at Gays and Beecher City schools, a homemaker and a farm wife. She was a member of the Smyser Christian Church of rural Gays and a member of the Moultrie and Shelby County Home Extension, Illinois Education Association and National Education Association and a Sunday teacher at the Smyser Christian Church.
Judy leaves her husband, Kenneth Daily of rural Windsor; three daughter:, Kristina (Eric) Hoerner of Champaign, Karen (Dan) Pfeiffer and husband Dan of Strasburg, and Mary (Dennis) Stremming of Mahomet; one sister, Betty (Mark) Hallam of Newton; five grandchildren: Jacob and Claire Pfeiffer, Benjamin and Elizabeth Stremming and Isabella Hoerner.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Billy Kerr.
Memorials may be made to the Smyser Christian Church Youth Group, or to the Windsor Ambulance Service.
