Mr. William Kerr, 69, of Ellery, passed away Monday, October 29, 1979, at 9:45 a.m. at his home.
Graveside services were held at 2:00 p.m. on October 30 at Bethel Cemetery. Ingram Funeral Home of Albion conducted the services.
He is survived by his wife, Reba of Ellery; two daughters, Mrs. Mick (Betty) Hallam of Clay City and Mrs. Kenneth (Judy) Bailey of Mattoon; five grandchildren; two brothers, Waybern Kerr of Bradenton, Fla. and Herbert Kerr of Ellery.
He was born July 6, 1910 in Wayne County, the son of James Kerr and Eva Michels. On May 14, 1932, he married the former Reba Sanders.
He was a member of the Bethel United Methodist Church and worked for the brickyard in Albion. He retired from working at Champion Labs in 1972 and was a guard at the Chester Correctional Center.
