Obit June 27 1923 James Kerr, son of Morgan and Elizabeth Kerr, born Nov 17, 1875 in Gratlot Co. Michigan at the age 26 went to North Dakota. He married Eva Michel January 5, 1907. He came back to Golden Gate. They had 3 sons, Wayburn age 14, William 12 and Herbert 11 years. He was killed by lightning. He leaves 4 sisters, Mrs. Ira Hoffer, Mrs. Jake Hoffer, and Mrs. Hugh Heary of Mich. And Mrs. Arthur Coleman of N.D. Two brothers, Robert and William of Ashley, Mich. Named who came. James Kerr buried in Bethel cemetery.
