Bowling Green - DOROTHY PUGH DELOTEUS, 98, died on Thursday, April 27 at Baptist Health Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. She was born in Hot Springs, Arkansas on May 13, 1918 to the late Col. Philip S. Pugh, Jr. and Nelsie Copelin Pugh. A graduate of Sophie Newcomb College and Tulane Law School in New Orleans, Louisiana, she married Leonard R. Deloteus in 1940. They moved to Bowling Green, Kentucky in 1951 and became active in The Presbyterian Church and a host of civic activities including PEO Chapter O. In 2007, Dot moved to the Presbyterian Homes of Louisville, Kentucky where she attended Buechel Presbyterian Church. Dot was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Leonard R. Deloteus; brothers Lt. Col. P. Sidney Pugh III and Robert N. Pugh. She is survived by four children: Nelsie Grissom of Mishawaka, Indiana; Phyllis Garrett and husband, Mike of Monett, Missouri; Linda Garrett and husband, Mitch of Louisville, Kentucky; Ray Deloteus and wife, Lisa of Birmingham, Alabam a; a sister, Jane Ferguson of New Orleans, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Bowling Green, Kentucky on Saturday, May 13 at 1:00 p.m. followed by a celebration of Dot's life at 2:30. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bowling Green. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Presbyterian Homes and Services of Kentucky (for Benevolent Care), PO Box 18067, Louisville, KY 40261-0067 or to PEO Chapter O (for women's scholarships), 150 Prestwick Court, Bowling Green, KY 42103. Arrangements have been entrusted to J.C. Kirby & Son Lovers Lane Chapel.
