Nelsie Copelin Pugh, 102, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 1998, in New Orleans. Mrs. Pugh was a native of Hot Springs, Ark., and a longtime resident of New Orleans and Pass Christian. She was preceded in death by her husband, Col. Philip S. Pugh Jr.; a son. Col. Philip S. Pugh III; and a grandson, Robert Nicholls Pugh Jr. Survivors include two daughters, Dorothy Pugh Deloteus of Bowling Green, Ky. and Jane Pugh Ferguson of New Orleans; a son, Robert Nicholls Pugh of Lexington, Ky.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. A private burial will be held Sunday at Live Oak Cemetery in Pass Christian. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at the Poydras Home in New Orleans.
