Edith Wiles, 94, of Albion, died at 4:10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 1, 1996, at Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville. Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Ingram Funeral Home, in Albion. Burial will be in Bethal Cemetery, near Albion. Visitation will be one hour before the services at the funeral home. Wiles was born Jan. 28, 1902, in Wayne County, the daughter of Jobe and Elizabeth (Walker) Mitchell. She married Ivan Wiles Oct. 12, 1921. She was a homemaker. She is survived by three sons, Duane Wiles, of Evansville, Ind., Paul Wiles, Little Rock, Ark., and Carl Wiles of Hampton, Vt.; four daughters, Mary Smith, of Albion, Norma Shoaff, of Geff, Marlene Blake, of Memphis, Tenn., and Sandra Thomason, of Bone Gap; 14 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers, Frank and Brian Mitchell, half brother, Fletcher Mitchell, and one sister, Mary Gill. Olney Daily Mail (IL) Nov. 2, 1996
