Mr. Ivan Wiles, 85, of Ellery passed away Saturday, July 3, 1982 at 3:15 a.m. at the Meadowood Nursing Home in Grayville where he had been a patient for the past 13 years.
Funeral services were held Monday, July 5 at 1:30 p.m. from the Chapel of Ingram Funeral Home in Albion with Rev. Ernest Eastman officiating and burial in the Bethel Cemetery.
Survivors Include his wife, Edith, of Meadowood Nursing Home, three sons, Duane Wiles of Evansville, Ind., Paul Wiles of Little Rock, Ark., and Carl Wiles of Hampton, Va.; four daughters, Mrs. Mary Smith of Albion; Mrs. Norma Shoaff of Geff; Mrs. Marlene Blake of Memphis, Tenn.; and Mrs. Sandra Thomason of Bone Gap; 14 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Born February 20, 1897 in Wayne County, he was the son of John and Minnie (Moore) Wiles. He married the former Edith Mitchell on October 12, in Edwards County.
Preceding him in death were one sister, Mrs. Vera Dunk and three brothers, Orville, Gilbert and an infant.
