Funeral services for Mrs. John Wiles of Ellery were held from the Bethel church Saturday afternoon with Rev. Niles Stone and Rev. Lloyd Bumpus officiating. Mrs. Wiles, the former Minnie Mcore, passed away in Fairfield on December 25. She was born in Wayne county on December 18. 1873, the daughter of Levi and Mary Melrose Moore. Surviving are her husband, John Wiles of Ellery; one daughter. Mrs. Harl Hurti of Ellery and three sons. Ivan of Bone Gap; Gil- bert of Akron. Ohio and Orville of Fairfield; a sister, Mrs. Lulu Pierson of Grayville and a broth- er Chet Mcore of Ellery and 19 grandchildren and 16 great grand- children. Preceding her in death were an infant son and a daughter, Mrs. Vera Dunk. Concluding services were at Bethel cemetery. Albion Journal-Register, Wednesday, December 31, 1958.
