Geraldine (Morris) Young, age 67, of 196 Green Creek Road, Orangeville, died at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville, at 10:27 a.m. Monday, May 30, 2016, and went to her heavenly home to be reunited with her husband, Donald L. Young, who preceded her in death on Jan. 9, 2011. Her death followed a lengthy illness.
Born in Trenton, N.J., on Jan. 13, 1949, she was a daughter of Frank F. and Catherine E. (Salvatore) Morris. She was a 1967 graduate of Flemington (N.J.) High School and lived in this area since 1969.
Geraldine was last employed as a cook at the Buckhorn Truck Stop, where she worked for 20 years until retiring in 2001.
She was a member of the Jackson Baptist Church, Derrs.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers: David Morris and Robert Morris, and a sister, Patricia Morris.
Geraldine is survived by a son, Brian K. Young, and his wife Angie, Berwick; a daughter, Lisa M., wife of Darrell Morris, Orangeville; two granddaughters: Samantha Kemper, Sunbury, and Emily Kemper, Ashland; a grandson, Toby Keith Young, Berwick; a step-grandson, Lundy Morris, Wapwallopen; six great-grandchildren; and two brothers: Frank Morris, and his wife Barbara, Lawrenceburg, Tenn., and Perry Como Morris, Los Angeles, Calif., as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Private services will be held, followed by interment in Jackson Cemetery, Derrs.
