Dorothy has five Tier Three DNA matchs at this time. The first two matchs are Dr. William Joseph Straughen and James Franklin Straughen, Junior. These brothers share Aaron Leppert and Mary Hart as common ancestors, and like Dorothy they are their Tier Three matches.

The three children of Dr. William Joseph Straughen also had their DNA analized. These children are Polly Mae Straughen, Joel E. Straughen, and Heidi Straughen. While they are the Tier Three matches of Dorothy, she is their Tier Four match.

You can see the stark difference between these three children, but that is normal with DNA. Unfortunately that is what makes a triangulation of many other matches that much more difficult. Fortunately, difficulty is not an ample excuse for not trying.

Tier Four

Dorothy's Tier Four ancestors are her great-great-grandparents. They are John Darrah, Sarah Bice, Owen Howell, Mary Anne Cordle, Johann Georg Lachenmayer and Christine Durrwachter. This is the first generation back that Dorothy has gaps in the known information of direct lineal ancestors.
