James C. Greiman, 1941-2001 May 11, 2001 Garner native James C. Greiman, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2001, in Modesto, California, following a brief illness. He was 59. The Garner Veteran's Ceremonial Unit will conduct private graveside services at 1:30 p.m., on Friday, May 11, at the Concord Township Cemetery in Garner. James Charles Greiman, was born on June 13, 1941 in Garner. He was the son of Norman and Margaret (Engstler) Greiman. He was a 1959 graduate of the Garner High School and served in the United States Air Force for eight years. He retired from Control Data Corp. after 25 years. For the past three years he was employed by Manteca Equipment Rental. Mr. Greiman enjoyed gardening, working on his '65 Comet and especially spending time with his grandchildren. He was an avid NASCAR race fan. Survivors include his son, Scott and wife, Sebrina of Manteca, California; daughter, Kristen Reed and husband, Greg of Modesto, California; grandchildren, Shelby and Samantha; four brothers, Daryl of Garner, Russel of Spirit Lake, Patrick and wife, Jane of Manteca, California and Joseph and wife, Sharon of The Dalles, Oregon; sister, Linda Rapp and husband, James of Clear Lake; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Marlene. He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Thomas; and a nephew, Joshua Greiman.
