Pals, Shirley Greiman Of Duncanville, TX, age 75, passed away on December 31, 2012. She was born on August 9, 1937, in Waterloo, Iowa, and moved to Garner, Iowa, in 1951. She received an Associates Degree from Iowa State Teachers College and began her teaching career in Iowa. She met her husband, Roland, on the dance floor at "The Surf Ballroom" in Clear Lake, Iowa, and they were married in 1960. They had four daughters and the family moved to Texas, in 1971. She continued her work in education at Central Elementary in Duncanville, TX, and completed more than 30 years of service. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Roland Pals; four daughters, Lisa Young and husband, Stuart, Becky Withrow and husband, Kelly, Amy Climer and husband, Guido and Tracey Pals; five grandchildren, Emma Young, Reagan Withrow, Kendall Withrow, Samuel Climer and Nathan Climer; sister, Marjorie and husband, Richard Koolbeck; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. She was predeceased by her parents and her two brothers, Gerald Greiman and Lynn Greiman. Visitation services will be at 10:00 am followed by Funeral Services at 11:00 am on Thursday, January 3, 2013, at First Christian Church Duncanville, 203 S. Main, Duncanville, TX, 75116.
