Jeanette C. (Kelly) Pratt Traverse City Jeanette passed away on Thursday, September 4, 2008. She was born March 15, 1918 in Moundsville, West Virginia, the daughter of Francis A. and Elinor E. (Lysett) Kelly. After high school she worked as a secretary before joining the U.S. Navy where she served as Yeoman Second Class (T) in Washington, D.C. She married Melvin G. Pratt and together they raised 5 children in the Lansing area. Jeanette is survived by her children: Nancy J. (Joe) Heiler, Roger T. (Phyllis) Pratt, Mary JO (John) Walker and Gregory (Beth) Pratt; daughters-in-law, Michelle Pratt and Joyce Pratt; 13 Grandchildren; and 12 Great-Grandchildren. Besides her parents, Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Pratt, and son Richard L. Pratt. Services will be held in the Chapel and Deepdale Memorial Park and Mausoleum at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 8, 2008. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Jeanette's name may be directed to the Alzheimer's Association or your local Hospice. Arrangements have been entrusted to Covell Funeral Home of Kingsley.
