Marian Pinter, 87, died Wednesday April 2, 2014. She was born February 21, 1927 in New Brunswick, NJ the daughter of the late Maurice Howard and Anna Leopard. She was a lifelong resident of Hillsborough, NJ. Marian was employed by New Jersey Bell until she married her soulmate Steve Pinter who was the owner and operator of the Pinter Beef and Pork Farm. Marian gave up her career at New Jersey Bell and became a Farmer. She loved the outdoors and appreciated working on the family farm. Aside from the farm she had a love of art and had created many beautiful works of art. Marian taught Sunday School and Junior Choir at the Hungarian Baptist Church in New Brunswick, NJ. She loved music, singing and dancing. Marian loved to cook and bake, her home always had home cooked meals and fresh baked pies. She took pride in her beautiful flower gardens, her favorite flower being the gardenia. She loved to travel especially to their homes in Florida and Virginia. Marian treated everyone like family, she would always welcome everyone in for a meal and make them feel at home. Holidays were her favorite time of year. Marian always had a extra gift for someone that would show up at the huge family gatherings. She loved to take long walks every night and watch the sunset. She was loved by her family and friends and will be sadly missed.
She was predeceased by her husband Steve Pinter in 2012, by a sister Helen Marshall and by a brother Robert Grover. She is survived by her son Steve Pinter, Jr. and his wife Karen of Hillsborough, NJ, her three daughters Karen DeMaio and her husband Vincent of Bethlehem Twp., NJ, Debbie Pinter of Hillsborough, NJ and Melody Turash and her husband Kenneth of Hillsborough, NJ, her sisters Dorothy White of Florida and Patricia Butt of New Brunswick, NJ and her adopted son James O'Brien of Pennsylvania. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be held Friday April 11, 2014 6:00 PM at the Neshanic Reformed Church, 715 Amwell Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844. The Memorial Service will be conducted by Pastor Dave Hill.
