1860 United States Federal Census for the Aaron Leppert Family.
At this point the family was residing in the Fifth Ward of Newark, Essex County, New Jersey. At this point just the first three of their children were born.
What I find most interesting from this census is that Aaron is listed as being a "Miller". Years ago I had a City Directory from Newark which also had him repairing shoes. (Eventually hope to track that City Directory back down.)
Anyway there was yet to be any baking done.
