Hurricane Charley started the destruction, and the remains were bulldozed. After surviving on the water, the Stelmaszek family decided to rebuild further inland. So they were going to move from 4081 Gardner Drive to 22009 Deborah Avenue in Port Charlotte.

Below we have some pictures of the construction of the new home. The builder was David Stelmaszek, a Florida General Contractor.

In a few of the pictures one can find Alfred Stelmaszek walking around the construction site as he watched his new homestead being built.
