It would appear that John Wilbur Terry was a patriotic America, and he is to be saluted. He was 55 years old when he registered in approximatedly 1941. The draft was imposed on September 16, 1940 for males ages 21 to 36. Then in November of 1942 the ages was changed to 18 to 37. Either which way, a 55 year old did not need to register. It is interesting to note his phone number at the time, 2104R. Wow, such simplicity. Of course you need to dial (and yes I mean dial) the NB before the number, which actually made it NBR-2104. Yes, the times have changed!
