The most interesting fact derived from this document was that Ignaz Leppert was a baker (baecker). His oldest surving son Aaron apparently did not take up that trade after he immigrated to America.

We know from Aaron's Civil War draft records from 1862 that he was employed as a 'Miller'. It was not until the 1870 United States Census that Aaron was listed as a baker. What is seemingly ironic is that Aaron waited for his father's passing before taking up his profession. Anyone have an explanation for this?
