Mr. James "Jim" Joseph Zieziula, 71, of Tega Cay, passed away peacefully following a brave battle with brain cancer on Friday, January 29, 2016, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill with his family by his side. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2016 at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church with Father John Giuliani, C.O. officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Born in Buffalo, N.Y., Jim was the son of the late Frank Zieziula and Helen Myszka Zieziula. He retired from Eastman Kodak after 34 years as a Color Photograph Professional. Jim was a member of St. Philip Neri Catholic Church, where he served as an usher. Jim enjoyed the outdoors and was a member of the Rock Hill Bass Fishing Club. He was a former president of the Tega Cay Vintage Club, he volunteered at the Fort Mill Care Center for 14 years, and he also worked at the Gold Hill YMCA. Jim will be remembered by his family and countless friends as a loving and sweet soul. He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Jim will be remembered for his commitment and love for wife and children and the many memories made with his grandchildren. He also loved golden retrievers, spending time in his workshop, and boating on Lake Wylie. Surviving are his wife of 50 years, Joanne Kajdan Zieziula; his children, Karen Vollmer and her husband, Thomas of Tega Cay, Mark Zieziula and his wife, Lanae of Rochester, N.Y. and Jeffrey Zieziula of Charlotte; two brothers, Ronald Zieziula of Pennsylvania and Frank Zieziula of Maryland; and five grandchildren, Andrew, Allison and Carly Vollmer; and A.J. and Luke Zieziula. The family would like to thank Dr. Daniel Haggstrom and the entire Levine Cancer Support Team for their dedication and support.
